Embarc Launches New Web Site for National Grid Wireless

After formally acquiring several companies, National Grid Wireless was left with the challenge of bringing them all together under one brand and online presence. National Grid Wireless is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Grid, based in the UK. The recent acquisition of Crown Castle UK and the consolidation of Gridcom, GridcomUK, NEESCom and Atlantic Western in the US, forms the basis for the company. As part of our efforts to redesign the site, mouse-overs have been suggested with multi-tier drop down menus for items within each section. Embarc’s design separates destination focused navigation away from utility focused navigation.
National Grid Wireless' site was designed with a crisp, clean and innovative look that will feel complementary to nationalgrid and ngridwireless, but be more contemporary and high-tech. Embarc concentrated our creative energy on creating a better technology feel rather than the image of a traditional utility company. The new home page contains a brief element of flash to provide motion that draws attention to a clear call to action.
Embarc's web design strategy is to achieve what we term as, "the eight-second capture." This is the amount of time that it should take a typical visitor to understand who your company is, your unique value proposition and make sure users find what they are looking for. Achieving this objective significantly increases your chances of establishing a connection with that visitor.
